Is it practicality or selfishness in the guise of practicality that is driving us today?

Hey fellas, this time I'm back with a new post and a new attitude. Enough with the Salman Rushdie style writing! Talking about him, I personally feel even he dosen't know the meaning of half the words he writes or probably he really likes to feel young at heart and show off to all the naive lasses his skills to win 'em over, usually he succeeds but alas! this time he's left to nurse his heart by a certain miss nottie hottie who's instead decided to charm the CEO of IMG with her assets. Poor Mr. Rushdie should learn a few tricks from Hollywood's own Ocean of charisma who draws females like moths to a candle flame, the charmer that he is. What you're still wondering who am I talking about! Folks he's the Clooney who makes gals mooney! (Mr. Rushdie, I sure as hell hope that you take a few tips from the Czar of Panache to make girls swoon over you and he being a good American and as helpful as they come will surely give you his secret recipe.. )though how he'll use 'em when he looks like a hybrid of the chimpanzee and George W. Bush (God save the chimpanzee! coz after Mr. Bush is done with things the result is ahem ahem.. quite frankly not so good) is beyond my realm of thought! I'm just wondering how he ever did seduce Miss Paddy?? Did he use a ladder to kiss her everytime he wanted to or better still use the Salman Khan style, get the special shoes. Whatever he did do, was well, not good enough for her and now she's off to showcase her talent, oops! did I just say talent?? her ti****s at the platform of IMG.
Hmm.. there's a practical babe which reminds me that today's post is all about practicality in life. After the shocking debacle in Mumbai and the revelation of the involvement of a certain nation which claims to be Mr. Goodie Two Shoes at all times, I'm sure every Indian and for that matter many foreign nationals too felt a surge of anger, of hatred and revenge deep within. I'm also sure that all of us want some kinda retribution from the culprits but doesn't our life still go on??How many of us will actually stop all our chores and go out and help the victims and their families 24*7? A little help here and there of course but nobody can travel the whole hog here and that is what I'm saying..I'm very appalled myself here people but all I'm giving is an insight into how the human mind works..When someone dies all you can do is cry and be saddened by unimaginable grief but then your brain takes over and as a prudent captain steers your mind away from all the misery and grief and blocks the pain..here comes your practicality into picture.. The same people who are crying their eyes out now will return to their normal self in a few days and all that'll be left behind is the news archives bearing the horrific pictures of the massacre that was 26/11.
I've bin asked time and again to give my views on the Mumbai Bomb Blasts and I don't know somehow I was procrastinating the thing but now I understand why, all that misery made me uncomfortable and my mind did not even want to imagine what it is like to lose a family member, to come face to face with the cataclysm and see your death dancing right in front of your eyes..Gawd!! it gives me the jeepers to even think about it! and I'm sure most of us practical people think the same, we like to be detached from the realities till we can hide no more, cannot postpone and are forced to think..to come in touch with our emotional selves..
The terrorists are practical to the point of being selfish..I think we all agree to this wholeheartedly..They flaunt terrorism in our faces not for Islam but to prove to the world their power over the US..hell over every human being..how convenient to say we're defending our religion and being practical and all but do they really mean to do that? I mean they say that they're doing all this for their Muslim brothers and Islam but are the "so called brothers" agreeing to this?? The answer is "NO" if you ask some guy being ill-treated in US/UK or a child being isolated in his classroom by his pals for being a Muslim..so what good have they actually done for Islam?? I sure as hell hope that some day these f*****g shitheads comprehend this and leave us alone! Why didn't God say "Let there be PEACE" when he finally made the Earth and everything in it? I guess now is the right time for him to make another appearance to utter these very words...
Getting back to practicality bordering on selfishness our politicians are not far behind..they are supposed to be custodians of the people and it is for those people only that they are least concerned..well let's not go into the intricacies of the lapses that took place...but honestly what happened shows that it is not practicality anymore..it is self-centerdness that is driving each and everyone of us today under the guile of "being practical".
Even take you and me for an example..will we do anything beyond sympathising and blaming the politicians and terrorists? Probably donate a few bucks, that's all but what more?? Can we ever take away the grief of widows? can we become the buttress of the ageing parents? and can we ever give orphaned kids abandoned pleasures and a trauma free childhood? so where are the emotions? More than thinking about those who've lost their lives don't we all worry about our own safety first? What if it were me who was there? or my family? What is this nation coming to? What are the politicians doing for our safety? Lets face it! our world has changed..for better or for worse..I'm not here to comment on that but we have taught ourselves to cut ourselves from the miseries of life..to put it in a clearer perspective, we have become self centred and materialistic in the guise of moving on and practicality we are constantly losing out on one of the most important things that make us human in the first place and differentiate us from crude animalistic behaviour..emotions and not practicality..

well m sure ev1 is hurt by the sheer audacity of the attack?
But wat we must not forget is d lesson. We must punish only those who r guilty?
Guilt can be collective but accountibility is always individual. So no more stereotyping!

How true.....but terrorists being jingoists abt there religion and our politicians observing chicanery is something but a process now a days! Anyhow, who is left with penury is a common human specie who is hell bent to ask for some space otherwise than macabre!!! Mumbai was a flagrant show oppsed dogmatically by every one but wot abt our abortive system. i really dnt want to participate in this blame game ( i 2 am a practical soul) but can feel the words u written.....
